The Garden Party and AGM was held in Dedham for the first time this year. The weather was not as kind as on previous years, but the rain did not manage to dampen anyone's spirits and a pleasurable afternoon was had by all, snug in the club's marquee, discussing poultry. Also for the first time the Chicken Run was replaced by an egg show judged by our own Charlie Clark.
This was the first time we had held an egg show and we were a little overwhelmed by the number of entries on the day but we just managed to fit them all on the tables provided. I can see we will need to have more next time! Despite the number of people showing the results proved the expertise of just three members who between them took all the major awards.

As for the AGM itself, everything went smoothly with the usual accounts presented by the Secretary and Treasurer reporting another successful year for the club. The committee was re-elected en- masse and then we got down the serious business of eating.
